Marietta Harris: “the other side of alzheimer”


Marietta Harris, simpatica e bravissima soprano e compositrice, nata e residente a S.Francisco (U.S.A.), ha recentemente pubblicato un libro intitolato The Other Side of Alzheimer’s,
dedicandolo non tanto ai malati, quanto ai caregiver, coloro che accompagnano i malati
attraverso la malattia, mediandolo dall’esperienza che Marietta ha vissuto in prima persona con la sua mamma.

Marietta A. Harris was born in San Francisco California and currently still resides in Northern California. She is an accomplished musician, singer, director, composer, artist, motivational speaker and author.She retired after working 37 years as a government worker.
Over the years, she has received numerous awards for her outstanding work as an instructor and speaker. Now she is focusing her attention to motivational speaking and writing.

Questo libro non parla di ammalati di Alzheimer, ma del ruolo e delle emozioni del caregiver. Quando alla madre di Marietta venne diagnosticato il morbo di Alzheimer, lei non riuscì a trovare un libro che le spiegasse passo a passo le conseguenze di essere un caregiver.
